A most asked question! Meadowbrook Ranch is 7 miles above
Paradise, California, in the beautiful northern Sierra mountains of Butte County; 100 miles north of Sacramento, east of Chico, and between State Routes 99 and 70.

What is the meaning of 7x11 in your email address?
A.
7x11 was the California license plate number of S. A Vandegrift in the early 30‘s. He settled a dispute between gamblers, arguing over “seven come eleven“. Those symbolic numbers are still used by Meadowbrook Ranch on our vehicles and our e-mail address.

May we bring our own horses and mules, and what do you provide?
A.
Yes, your horses and mules are welcome. We have six (6) small corrals,
four (4) with shelters, available for your individual equines. There are 10 miles of groomed marked trails on which to ride or drive carts, chariots or wagons, without a guide.

What do you have available for trailer and RV parking?
A.
Parking facilities are available for Horse Trailers and Self Contained Vehicles
north of the Forks, off Volcanic Spring Road on Chariot Drive. They are located
above the Red Barn and Horse Shelters. We do not provide utility hook-ups for
RV's.

If supplies are needed, are there any stores nearby?
A.
Yes. Down the road from our ranch entrance is Hill's MiniMart (gas), and
Chuck's Place (DeliMart and gas).
Holiday Market is 4 miles in Magalia (Paradise Pines). They have a
full-service Deli, Floral, and Meat Department. Butte Community Bank is located
inside. Other businesses in the Pines include a Pet Shop, Hardware, Video Rental, Donut/Bakery,
Hair Saloon, Barber, Union 76 Gas, Restaurants, Post Office, Pharmacy, Medical Lab,
Fire Station, Veterinary Hospital, and many other conveniences. Visit
