The Lodge with Historic Artifacts
The Lodge was constructed in 1926, framed with poles cut by
S. A Vandegrift, built by him as a Museum to house his Historical
Exhibits and home for his wife, adult son Rolland and his family.
It is open to view when not rented by other guests.
The Lodge Grounds are perfect for Receptions and Celebrations, with attractive Gardens and Lush Lawns for activities such as: Badminton, Volleyball, Frisbee
or other sports in the shade. There are Horseshoe Pits, a Concrete Dance Floor, a Covered Stand for a Band or DJ, cedar picnic
tables with benches on a Graveled Area between the Lawn and the Dance
Floor.
The Lodge Grand Room, surrounded by glass, is 24 feet by 36 feet, with a
13 1/2 foot overhead. Historical Exhibits are displayed. Indian baskets,
arrow heads, and other artifacts are in cabinets. Miners, Homesteaders,
Loggers and Open Range Rancher's gear is hung from the wall beams,
including: guns, bits, spurs and over 500 original
Branding Irons, tagged with their history.
The Lodge Dining Room seats twenty at the Round Oak Table; Lamps,
Cruets and Steins on display surround it.
The large Lodge Master Bedroom has an adjoining private Bathroom, with
an antique claw footed bath tub and other old fixtures.
Two other Bedrooms Downstairs in the Lodge, share a bath off the Utility
Hall.
Three small Bedrooms Upstairs in the Lodge, share a full bath.
