A Tranquil and Private Retreat ...
At the confluence of Meadow Brook and Little Butte Creek is a unique
sheltered valley. In the 1849 Gold Rush, giant Ponderosas and gold mines
surrounded our meadows, in the heart of the Motherlode. We have protected
and preserved the forest and abundant water from springs and brooks.
We restored the Knoll to Eternity, Lodge and Grounds, the
Red Barn and Arena, Bridle and Hiking Trails. We improved the aquaculture in our ponds and lakes, started by S. A Vandegrift first planting trout in them in 1921. His plans, made 100
years ago, have been fulfilled. We now have a 250 acre "Private Park" and "Retreat"
for our guests and family to enjoy.

Meadowbrook Ranch is our "Heaven on Earth", insulated from the
subdivisions and roads surrounding our "Native Flora and Fauna Preserve",
protected by perimeter fences, signs and locked gates.
